Unboxing #1

Conveniently, about 20 minutes after making my first post to the blog, a package was delivered to my door from Book Outlet!

Now, I had tracked this shipment the other day, and the estimated delivery date was December 30. So imagine my surprise to find it here today.

Of course, in true "BookTube" style, I had to do an unboxing. (And yes, I know that I'm not part of BookTube because this isn't a video. I'm camera-shy, indulge me anyway.)

So, without further ado--hit the jump to see my four most recently acquired purchases!

Obligatory unopened package picture. Featuring my IKEA bedspread.

Next we have the actual unboxing! These are all paperbacks this time around because apparently I'm weird and prefer paperbacks to hardcovers. Oh well.

Book #1 is Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I took this out of the school library back in October and absolutely loved it, so for only $3.99 or whatever from Bookoutlet, I knew I had to have it. You can see my review of Cinder here. ★★★★☆ (4 out of 5 stars)

Book #2 is Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. Another library read, this time from February. Again, an enjoyable book at a bargain price. I really couldn't say no! You can read my review of Shadow and Bone here. ★★★★☆ (4 out of 5 stars)

Book #3 is The Shifter by Janice Hardy. This is book 1 in the Healing Wars Trilogy. It was recommended to me by a friend and colleague in January of 2012 and I could never seem to get my hands on a copy. And again, the deal totally swayed me. It's even an autographed copy! Can you believe that?

Lastly, book #4 is Wings of the Wicked by Courtney Allison Moulton. It's book 2 of the Angelfire Series. I read book 1 Angelfire last year in February and it was an entertaining guilty pleasure kind of read. I ended up adding it to my classroom library collection at school for my students to borrow if they were interested. But I always figured I'd find my way back to the rest of the series eventually. And lo, that time has come. You can see my Angelfire review here. ★★★★☆ (4 out of 5 stars)

(And is it just me or does Angelfire give everyone flashbacks to the old webhosting site? ... I feel like I'm dating myself here.)

And thus ends my first unboxing/sort of book haul. What did you think? I will venture to guess that there will be another similar post shortly--what with it being Christmas on Wednesday and all.

Have you read any of these books? What did you think? Link me to your reviews/sites/vlogs/whatever!
